Vila Pontica Hotel

The rooms were clean and just what you’d expect from a 3-star place. The food was fresh and tasty, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The whole place is gorgeous, with a Mediterranean feel. A really nice stay, and I recommend it to anyone coming from abroad.

We were so taken with the food that we ordered their fish of the day for dinner, along with those delicious wine mussel clams we ate three times a day. One very early morning, we caught the sunrise and ran into the manager coming back loaded with fresh fish from the fishing harbour. We heard he does that almost every morning, which sounds exhausting. The food was good and fresh, and that’s what matters. My wife and I had only planned to come for dinner after seeing some pictures, but we liked it so much that we booked two extra nights after our planned stay elsewhere. Our shaded room by the pool was very spacious, and the bathroom was pleasant and shiny. With the door left cracked open, we could hear outside and felt like we had the place to ourselves. This spot was a real breath of fresh air in the middle of this developing area. Once you’re inside, it’s easy to relax, which really surprised me. I normally only review places when they’re really bad, but this one deserves a shout-out. I’d recommend it to anyone. It’s just beautiful!

We come back often, and it’s a great spot for adults and kids alike. The courtyard is terrific, walled in and with a tropical-paradise feel. Their recently revamped restaurant is great too, with a catch-of-the-day selection. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

The breakfast was good, and I liked the garden and pool, so the stay was pleasant overall. The room didn’t look as nice as the pictures on the website, though, and the bathroom had no glass shower. At checkout we had to pay more than the original invoice because of a communication mix-up at booking.
