The staff were fine, but the food was either cold or undercooked, and there wasn’t much variety over the two days. I’d never seen kitchen staff eating during service before. The balcony door came off, and I had to fix it myself. There were no appliances in the room or sockets beside the bed, and getting only a trickle from the shower was frustrating. There’s no lift, just stairs, and the WiFi went down for several hours and was still out as I wrote this. If you only need a room, it may be okay. Otherwise, pay more and stay elsewhere. Good luck if you do stay.

Breakfast was much more generous than I expected, which made the stay feel like good value. The hotel is just a short walk from the beach, and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly too. I spent two nights here and would gladly come back.

A relaxing seaside stay is easy here, with modern amenities, attentive service, and a spot right by the beach. Hotel Apollo in Mamaia was comfortable, and I’d happily recommend it for the location.

The rooms are roomy, the location is good, and the staff were helpful. I was expecting more for what the rooms cost, though. I asked for an iron and was given an old one I couldn’t use. Buying a new one would be a good idea.
