Hotel Scandinavia

The traffic noise went on day and night, and the hotel sits on a highway with no pedestrian walkways. The dining area was dirty, the lighting depressing, wires were exposed, Wi-Fi came and went, and the AC leaked. There was little room cleaning, and service was terrible. Management seemed not to care about complaints. We reported the AC leaking onto our carpet three times before anyone checked it. Then they moved us to another floor, where the elevator didn’t work, so I had to manage the stairs from the third floor. This place is a complete disaster. If it charged half as much and called itself a two-star hotel, it might have some potential, especially with a manager who looked after it. But it’s pretending to be a four-star property. Stay away at all costs.

The lake is right next to the hotel, and the Black Sea and beach are only five minutes away. Prices were good, the food was top notch, and the staff were amazing. An excellent experience, 10/10 😍

Stay somewhere else if you care about your nerves and wellbeing. The hotel is badly managed, right on the highway, and the staff seemed incompetent and bored. There was little cleaning, exposed wiring, gloomy lighting, bad Wi-Fi, leaking AC units, stained bed linen, and no sign of management. It’s barely a two-star property charging as if it were four stars, and the listings on Expedia, Hotels.com and Booking.com misrepresent its condition. Just stay away!

The beach is very close, but the sand has broken shells mixed in, making it uncomfortable to walk barefoot. Inside, the hotel was nice, clean, and recently renovated in a modern style. We had a spacious room, good breakfast, and the pool was a nice extra. It’s right by the sea. A couple of fixes would help: there was no towel dryer on the terrace, and the shower pressure was a little low.
