The place itself was quite clean, and my dealings with the owner were very good. The trouble was the gentleman who greeted us, apparently the owner's father-in-law, who lives on the ground floor. He was grumpy and very particular, so it didn't feel like we had the place to ourselves. We were told to keep the doors shut because bugs might get in, and couldn't play music at a reasonable volume in the evening. After midnight, we were also reprimanded for talking and laughing. While we were at the beach, we came back to find all the AC units switched off. The owner had gone into rooms where our personal belongings were. There were nine of us that weekend, all over 30. It was fine until we arrived, but that gentleman really brought the experience down.

We really enjoyed our stay and would come back. The villa is peaceful, spotless, and well equipped, with the beach about 700 metres away, roughly a ten-minute walk. Parking is monitored by video, and the hospitable owners make sure everything is in order. We'd happily recommend it.

We were there with my wife and our 11-month-old grandson, and the welcome was a pleasant surprise. The guesthouse owner, the son-in-law of the couple who live there, waited for us to arrive and showed us everything. They didn't bother us during our stay, despite what some people have said. We're not friends or acquaintances of theirs, as has been claimed here. Thanks again for being so hospitable. We plan to return with our grandson next year.

We wanted to pay with a holiday card, but were told there'd be an extra 10 percent. They took the card and PIN, and the payment went through a travel agency we'd had no contact with. Then, after our first evening barbecue, the owner came to complain that we hadn't cleaned, which wasn't true, though we hadn't scrubbed everything on our knees with a toothbrush. We were woken at 9 a.m. and told checkout was at 10 to 10:30, even though nobody had given us a departure time. The owner has surveillance cameras and kept hovering over us. Also, the people you speak with on the phone aren't the people you meet in person. I can only think the 14 Maps reviews were posted by friends. A terrible stay, only for someone wanting to test their nerves and feel watched.

We got a very good price for our June stay, and the beach was only a five to ten minute walk away. There are lots of places to eat nearby, too. The owners are wonderful, and the place was very clean and comfortable. The bed was excellent, and the room had AC, a breakfast terrace, a fridge, coffee maker, kettle, microwave, and even a hairdryer.
