The meatball soup was the best I’ve ever had, and the restaurant was a good experience overall. I’d have preferred the potatoes cooked in lard, the traditional way, instead of served as large, dry strips. With that change, I would have given it five stars.

The meal was huge and delicious, and we enjoyed some great dessert as well. At Păstrăvăria Alex, we could choose exactly which fish we wanted by pointing it out, and the Romanian cheese was very fresh. Everyone was friendly and the service was great. I’d definitely go back!

We’ve never met people so kind-hearted. The staff welcomed us so warmly, and their generosity and care throughout our stay are hard to put into words. We’ll definitely return to this place!

Loved the atmosphere and the view. The food was fabulous and high quality, and the staff, details and buildings all felt authentic.

The two-person platter is generous enough for two to four average-sized people, and you can ask the waiter to pack up anything you don’t finish. The fish and golden potatoes with garlic sauce are delicious, all at a very respectable price. Whether you choose the fish or the platter, it’s a great place for an incredible meal.
