Really good!

The central location is handy, and the place is clean and well kept. The room temperature was comfortable, though the hallways and shared spaces were cold. Entry to the property, room, kitchen and dining area, and terrace is by access code, sent before arrival and disabled at checkout. There isn’t a children’s play area, and despite the owner describing a living room, there’s no shared indoor lounge. There’s only a room beside the kitchen and technical room, with a large table, chairs, and a coffee machine you can use for free. Checkout is set before 10:00, with no extra half hour allowed because cleaning is supposed to be done by 13:00. The building administrator or owner wouldn’t answer the phone unless we called through Booking, and was extremely rigid about making us leave at 11:00, even though we had a small child. A room doesn’t take three hours to clean, however much they try to convince a guest otherwise. The attitude alone would have earned one star from me. I’d recommend it for a stopover or if you want to be right in the old city center.

The room was freezing even though it was -1 degree outside, and there were cockroaches and spiders that woke me up. The bathroom was tiny, like a closet, and the room had a very strong smell. The website photos gave one impression, but the actual place looked completely different. Disgusting. Hungarians……. I’m not racist, but this accommodation has totally changed how I feel about the city too, even though it shouldn’t have. I’m so disappointed!

The room was clean and the linen was okay. After a six-hour drive, all I wanted was a shower, but there was no hot water. No heat either, which was the main problem.
