Pensiunea Coralia

The hosts and staff are the best part, they make you feel as welcome as you would at your mother's house. The guesthouse can arrange Danube Delta trips at special prices. It's quiet but still close to the pier, with clean rooms, good food, a pool for adults and children, and a children's playground. I'll be very happy to come back whenever I'm in the area.

2021-07-20. We stayed at Coralia for a few days twice, first in 2019 and again in 2021. Room 5 was on the ground floor, with a terrace and direct access to the garden and pool. The pool is small, but it was enough for the children to cool off on a hot day, and they could also fish about 500 m away on one of the property's sites. The place was lovely and clean, the restaurant food was good, and the staff were friendly and enthusiastic. The owner arranges very nice Delta trips on their own boat, with Cristi as an excellent guide.

The breakfast was generous and fresh, and all the fish I tried was fresh too, grilled, fried, or served as "saramură." I tried all the different fish soups and recommend them, and the chef's "Papanași" and pancakes are specialties. The local wines taste excellent and cost very little. The owner also organizes trips to Sf. Gheorghe, Letea, Sulina, and other places on a covered boat, so you don't have to sit in the sun on the way. The rooms are spacious, clean, and nice, with balconies and child-friendly furniture. You can use the pool all day, though I'd go when the sun is less strong, around 17-21. Later in the evening the mosquitoes start coming out, so it's a good time to have dinner or head inside.

We stopped by for lunch, and they welcome diners who aren't staying at the property. The food was nice and fairly priced, and they even let us use the pool for free. I'd recommend coming for lunch or dinner.
