The rooms are small and smell bad, and the bed sheets had stains. For prices that rival five-star hotels in Greece, this place is a bad joke, barely three stars if that. Avoid it.

The location and architecture are nice, which makes the state of this hotel feel shameful. The interior is kitschy, cheap-looking, dirty, and filled with outdated furniture. Rooms are cramped and the bathrooms are subpar. This is NOT a 4 stars hotel. The staff are untrained, rude, and even aggressive. I rarely write reviews, but arriving here pushed me into a meltdown. The restaurant is dirty too, with unclean tables and food that isn't replaced promptly. The beach is full of rocks. The Panoramic hotel looks a bit better and cleaner because the owner turns up there in his rolls royce. Talk about double standards. I wouldn't recommend this place. It urgently needs a change in ownership.
The place is nice, the food is good, and being next to the sea means you can hear the waves while sleeping. Congratulations to the investor. But management is very poor, and nobody follows COVID rules. Neither employees nor visitors wear MASKS, and people cough over the food in the morning. THIS IS NOT OK!!
The balcony is great, with a view of everything, including the Black Sea. The pools are very good, and the water in both deeper pools is excellent, though the children's pools are very cold, which I wasn't expecting. The beach is amazing and not too crowded, although it did get a bit crowded. Buffet food is very good, as are the restaurants. The room was good, clean, and disinfected, but infested with bugs, including beetles and ants. Roosters screamed very loudly at 2-3am, and the description hadn't mentioned them. It was very unpleasant.
The venue is part of a complex of three hotels, Panoramic, Belvedere & Amfiteatru, and was the first to reopen after major renovation. In my view, it's in the best spot on the Romanian coast. I'd give the room 4*, the sea view 5*, and the restaurants 5*. The beach gets barely 2*: it's narrow and crowded, with people reserving spots by getting up at 6 o’clock and coming back at 10 or 11. You can still save the day at the pool. Service was okay overall, though staff skills need improvement. With a little care and attention, this place could become an exquisite location.
