Vila Oceanic

We were hungry and looking for somewhere to eat before noon, but most restaurants in the area didn’t open their kitchens until 12.00. Restaurant Oceanic was already serving earlier. The menu had lots of options and everything was delicious. Alexandru was a great waiter, kind and smiling. He could tell we were starving and got our drinks and food to us quickly. We thanked him for the excellent service. Definitely recommend the restaurant!

Alexandru made the meal especially enjoyable. He was attentive, very kind, smiling, and gave us helpful suggestions from the menu. The restaurant has something for different tastes, from crisp, flavorful pizza to pasta, fresh fish, and seafood. I’d gladly recommend Oceanic for a really good meal.

Prices were reasonable for what you get, especially for this area, so it could be a decent option. The pizza dough was good, but the toppings were just so-so, and the pasta lacked flavor. Too bad they use low-quality ingredients in the dishes.

We got good value from the hotel rate, and the rooms were spacious, but housekeeping had missed noticeable dust in several places. The reservation also caused stress: we’d paid in advance, yet our rooms hadn’t been properly booked. We eventually got them after showing the bill as proof of payment. At the restaurant, the food was tasty and well prepared, in line with what I’d expect from a Romanian seaside place, though the prices were high, as you might expect for the location. Service let the meal down. The waiters seemed rushed, making things feel hurried and impersonal, and a few staff members came across as almost rude. There are things to improve, especially service and cleanliness. I might return, but with more modest expectations and after double-checking the booking confirmations.
