Vila Gardenia

I booked a single room for four days. It had two single beds and a large bathroom. The room was very hot, and I don’t like sleeping with the AC on, so after the first night I moved to the bed near the window. When I checked out before 10:30 on the fourth day, I asked the front desk lady if I could leave my luggage somewhere for two hours. She was very impolite and irritated, but eventually agreed. I also asked to put some medicines in the fridge because they had to stay cold. She reacted as if I’d asked to stay another night for free. When I came back for my luggage two hours later, the same lady said I had to pay for another night because I’d used both beds. She also accused me of smoking in the room, which wasn’t true. I smoke heets and, if I can’t find somewhere to throw them when I’m out, I put them in my pocket and throw them away when I get home. They must have checked the trash and found the used heets. Nowhere did it say I couldn’t use the second bed, and charging me another night for used sheets seemed absurd. I didn’t smoke in the room, and I’m sure they couldn’t smell cigarette smoke.

The rooms are cozy and the personnel are friendly, though breakfast is very basic. It’s within walking distance of Oradea old town center, close to a tram station, and a 5 minute drive from Nymphaea Aquapark.

The food was good, the staff very professional, and the rooms spotlessly clean.

A dated but clean room for the night. Good value for the money.
