Sia Residence

It’s an affordable option in a good spot between flights, but keep your expectations low. The room was clean and access was easy, without needing to interact with anyone. The building looks quite run-down outside and doesn’t seem maintained. The walls are so thin that you hear everything next door, and if the neighbors talk a lot, sleep could be hard. The outlets by the bed are difficult to reach, tucked behind heavy nightstands you have to move. The shower is pretty bad too: there’s no holder for shower gel, not even in the shower, so you have to put it on the floor each time you soap up.

They gave me a room early in the morning when I was exhausted, which was really kind. I stayed three nights, worked remotely on my laptop, and the Wi-Fi was great. The ladies there, including the owner, were very nice. There’s a restaurant across the street and a 24-hour shop about two minutes away. A nice place to spend time between flights.

The rooms are fine and the women working there are nice. It’s about a kilometer’s walk from the bus station, though the place is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. They offered a shuttle to the airport, but not a pickup from it. There’s a food place across the street, but there isn’t really anywhere to go or visit within a couple of kilometers. Four stars feels like too many, three too few, so I’d say 3.5.

The ladies at the property were really nice, and the service was very good. They drove us to the airport on short notice and kept our luggage during the day. Many thanks to SIA residence.
