The staff were really helpful, though a few basics were unreliable. WiFi didn't reach the rooms in the middle of the hallways, and the water could stop while you were brushing your teeth. When a wedding was happening, the music carried clearly up to the fourth floor and went on until 7am. I'd skip breakfast too, since nearby cafes offer more choice.

The lobby was pleasant and the staff were friendly, and for a two-star hotel it was pretty decent. My room was more or less clean, but the towels smelled awful and it took 15 minutes for the water to get warm. There's no room-service phone in the room, so I had to look up the hotel online and call. Breakfast was mediocre at best: it was ordered from a menu rather than served as a buffet, and you couldn't even get half the items.

The service was only 3/5. We arrived around 10am, and the tables hadn't all been cleared. The waiter cleaned them in the order they were set up instead of starting with the one we'd chosen. By the time he got to ours, our food had already arrived, which felt quite unprofessional. The food looked better than it tasted too. I posted a photo of what was supposed to be an English breakfast, and it was nothing close to one.

The building is old and poorly maintained, and the service is low-level. I'd avoid it unless that kind of adventure is what you're after.
