Cabana Groapa Seaca

There's plenty of room for meals and games at this lovely mountain cabin. It's quite close to the Translapina ski resort.

We had comfortable beds and hot water, and the kitchen was available to guests. The hosts were very helpful, and the place is dog friendly. The dogs there are friendly too, and can accompany you up the mountain. It's right by the hiking trails, so we had a really nice stay.

The owner and the small staff are the best part: lovely people who care about their business. This place is still a "montaniard" heaven, and one of the best surprises I've had in the Romanian mountains, and beyond. Congratulations, and many thanks for the hospitality!

The host was friendly and the location is quite good, but the rooms felt small and overpriced compared with similar places, including some closer to the slopes. The walls are so thin that you can hear people talking in the next room, and the bathrooms aren't always in great shape. We came back after our first stay because the traditional restaurant used to be nice, but it's no longer available. There's a kitchen guests can use. It wasn't too bad, just too expensive for what you get.
