Hotel Rusu

The service was good, apart from breakfast, which was the same throughout our two-night stay. The room could use some attention: a hanger was missing, the wallpaper needs regluing, and there was no power outlet by the bed. The existing outlets should also be checked to make sure they're safe. The outdoor rails would look new again with a repaint. The rooms still have an 80s look and feel. At the front desk, there was no information about the EV charging station; even the receptionist didn't know whether charging costs anything or how it works.

We visited in winter and the room was clean and very hot, with the heat on. You can adjust it. The jacuzzi was free, clean, and reserved just for us, along with the wet and dry sauna, but you need to book ahead. Breakfast was more than enough: omelet, fried eggs, bacon, cheese, ham, cucumber, tomatoes, bread, and cereal, with things regularly refilled. The location has a very nice view. The hotel is OK, though a bit old, and the rooms, bathroom, and furniture could use improvement.

We stayed four days and three nights, six of us in total. The views were amazing, and the hotel has its own gondola. It was a pleasant, down-to-earth, rustic stay. The rooms were clean, though the bathroom had dust along the join where the tiles met the wall. The food was decent and reasonably priced. Some waiters were very nice, including a woman named Maria, while others had a bit of an attitude, perhaps due to stress. I hadn't realized we'd be on the third floor, and when I asked reception for help with my suitcase, I was asked, "don't you have any colleagues to help you"? The advertised spa and jacuzzi were closed when I went to check, and a spa treatment would have been handy.

For this one-night stay, the view was great, and we even had snow in mid-April. There was plenty of food, and the staff were friendly. If you're a light sleeper, the walls are somewhat thin.
