The rooms and the place itself were okay, but the welcome and what happened with Pluxee brought my rating down to 3. The woman who greeted us seemed bothered by our presence, barely managed basic yes or no conversation, and rolled her eyes. We'd called ahead to ask about paying with a Travel Card Pluxee. The amount charged was about 7% higher than the price quoted on the phone, and they said that was the tourism card fee. I agreed because I had a 2-year-old with me and couldn't start looking for somewhere else. The man on the phone also sounded irritated when I called with questions or needed help.

The room was incredibly hot. We'd booked one with air conditioning, but there wasn't any, just a fan. I barely slept and came close to booking somewhere else for the second night. The place looked clean and possibly newly opened or refurbished, and the location felt safe. That's about all I can say that's positive. The shower had no hot water at first. We ran it for ages and reset the boiler, but it still didn't work. After we called, it was fixed that day. The drain also didn't work well: water escaped the bathroom while we showered. Don't leave clothes on the floor. We were two women and hadn't even washed our hair, but after the flooding we pulled hair from the drain. It flooded again the next day. The owner or manager was extremely arrogant, unnecessarily rude, and aggressive. There was no customer service, and we hadn't even spoken before he responded that way. The room notice said checkout was at 12, but cleaners made noise outside early and waited in the hallway, pressuring us to leave. The notice also said breakfast was served daily, but on arrival we were told there was none. I wouldn't recommend this for a comfortable stay, mentally or physically.

There are bed bugs everywhere. Don't be fooled by the 5-star reviews. I'll file a complaint with the health association.

I was really disappointed with this reservation. The room we ended up in had a double bed and a pull-out couch, and that couch was an extremely uncomfortable place to sleep. The one we'd booked was supposed to have a single bed and a double bed. I don't know if I'd recommend staying here or come back. The room itself looked like the photos, so that wasn't the problem. The service was awful. The woman who met us seemed uninterested in us and barely spoke. First, we were shown the wrong room. When we pointed it out, she seemed irritated and tried to move us to another room that also wasn't the one we'd booked. Only after I showed her our booking did she tell us the room we had reserved was occupied. The attitude and the room mix-up were the hardest parts of the trip to overlook.
