Radsor Hotel

I’m already looking forward to staying here again soon. The bed was so comfortable, the room was perfect, and breakfast was wonderful. It’s such a comfortable, lovely hotel and a perfect place to stay in Rasnov.

We ended up spending the night here after stopping with our two kids to get away from the Sunday night traffic jam in Valea Prahovei. It worked out perfectly for us. The restaurant is great, the rooms are clean, and there’s a small indoor playroom for kids.

The views were lovely, and both rooms had balconies, which added a lot to the space. The mini fridge was stocked with plenty of drinks, though there was no complimentary water, so you had to buy it from the fridge. One room had air conditioning and the other didn’t. In 32-degree heat, all the rooms really should have it. We paid almost €400 for two rooms for two nights, which seemed fair for the hotel and location. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was awful. We waited an hour and a half for four main courses, even though only three other tables were occupied. When we asked about the delay, the waiter said it was very busy. After we complained, he just shrugged and seemed not to care. Our mother’s schnitzel was rock hard and broke her tooth. The waiter didn’t care when we raised that either. Fixing it at the dentist that week during our holiday cost €150. The hotel was nice, but the staff were unhappy and rude. At checkout, nobody asked how our stay was or whether everything was okay, so we didn’t get a chance to complain or be heard. It might be fine if you only need a place to sleep, but I wouldn’t spend time or money dining there. The food was overpriced and not good.

The breakfast was tasty and had a good range of choices. The shower was clean and looked great, and we had two balconies. It was quiet, and the hotel is close to Dino Park, the Citadel, the cave, and other interesting places. Tourists were politely reminded more than once to wear masks in the shared areas. The room looked nice, but there were stains on the carpet and holes in the curtain. When we arrived, we found napkins under the bed, which made me question how well the room had been cleaned.
