Waking up by the lake was a highlight, especially with one of the rooms overlooking it. Hotel Aquaris in Văliug sits in lovely scenery and feels like a good place to get away from city noise. The rooms are spacious, modern, clean, and regularly cleaned, with what you need for a comfortable stay. Meals were tasty, with generous portions and plenty of choice at breakfast and in the restaurant. The pool and beach are great for summer, and there's a wellness area too. It can be lively in the hot season, with music and events. The staff were kind and helpful, and check-in and check-out were quick. I felt welcome and would happily come back. Highly recommend it.

The grilled fish with polenta was delicious, and the relaxed feel made this a lovely spot for a summer weekend surrounded by nature. It's not a luxury hotel, but the quality is good and the price feels fair. The young staff deserve a special mention, they do a great job.

The guy at the bar was genuinely helpful and supportive, so thanks to him. The rest of the visit was disappointing. I'd been here before, and today the hotel felt much worse than it used to, almost as if it were heading for closure. Expect one-star quality. Some of the food differed from the menu we'd ordered in advance. I wouldn't recommend it or return. The receptionist, who may be the owner, needs to work on their customer service.

The lakeside setting is lovely, but the staff seemed not to care about guests and were very unfriendly. We waited 45 minutes just for someone to take our order, then left hungry and angry.
