Hotel-Restaurant Dumbrava Rupea

I liked the hotel and its breakfast. While traveling with a group, I left my Apple earphone in the room. The staff replied quickly and helped track it down, then sent it back to me. Everything arrived safely, and I'm very happy and grateful. Replacing it would have cost a lot more.

The warm welcome and lovely food are what I remember most. The waiters even came up with coffee ideas on the spot to give me what I wanted. One evening, I was on the phone at dinner and suddenly went quiet because the dish tasted so good. When I had work meetings and called the restaurant to order, they apologized for the wait because they'd thought I wanted to be left alone. I can count on one hand how often I've seen people show that much consideration. The receptionist also had wonderful stories, and the hotel was so quiet at night that it even made me a little uneasy. I was there because I wanted to see Racoș, Rupea, and the surrounding area. I sometimes take my car or motorcycle alone to somewhere random, and this hotel turned out to be a good choice. I wouldn't usually think of this region first, but remembering the calm I felt there makes me a little melancholic, and I may visit again. There were a few issues: I had no hot water, the door lock was troublesome, and the elevator wasn't working. People were doing repairs during the day, so I think things may already have improved. There’s a large parking lot, but wasp nests beside the dining tables. It was a sweet experience I won't forget, though I wouldn't make it my first choice when planning a trip.

The service itself wasn't bad, but this was the worst food I've ever eaten. Our group of about 50 split into tables of roughly eight, then we waited a little over an hour after ordering. When the food finally came, it wasn't worth the wait. That pizza was awful and didn't even look freshly made. 34 lei is far too much for it.

The staff were very welcoming, the place was clean, and the WiFi worked well. Breakfast was good too. My main complaint is the rooms have no air conditioning, and because the guesthouse is beside a noisy road, you can't leave the window open all the time.
