Pensiunea Michael's House

The owner was the warmest, kindest person we met on our trip through Romania, and the service made the place special. We loved the romantic, cozy atmosphere and the quiet so much that we didn't want to leave. From our room, we could see the castle and vineyards. The rooms felt luxurious, with plenty of space and beautiful design. Breakfast was delicious and enormous, far more than we could finish. This was easily the best guesthouse we've stayed in. We'd love to come back.

Michael’s House was such a comfortable, welcoming base in Rupea. The host made me feel at home as soon as I arrived, and everything was impressively clean. After a long day exploring, the very comfortable bed made for a great night's sleep. My favorite part was having morning coffee while looking out at Rupea Fortress. The same view was lovely in the evening too, with the fortress lit up while I relaxed with palincă or lemonade. Breakfast was delicious and traditional, with high-protein ingredients that made each morning a treat. I highly recommend this cozy, friendly place.

They greeted us with tea when we arrived last night, and we slept so well in the comfortable beds with great pillows. Breakfast was excellent and they had vegetarian options. The homemade apricot jam was amazing. We left feeling rested and really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

I called quite late in the evening looking for a room for my wife and daughters. The host was incredibly kind, had everything arranged for them, and made a generous vegetarian breakfast in the morning. She even let my wife charge her small EV overnight and, despite our insistence, wouldn't accept payment for the electricity. They had been stranded because the only EV charger in the region wasn't working. What an amazing host. Highly recommended!
