We enjoyed winding down in the back garden after our walks, with a cool beer for a small extra charge. There were storks with their young to admire in June, too. The owners were very friendly and served homemade meals using local produce. They only spoke Romanian. Plum brandy was included for us. This was our first stop on a two-week walking holiday, and the room wasn't en suite, but the bathroom just across the corridor was no problem. It felt like very Romanian accommodation.

The hosts are really nice, and the food is marvelous. The place could be a little cleaner. Luca house is near the village church and a nice museum, and it’s a great spot if you want an authentic Transylvanian village experience.

Mrs. Lenuta and her husband made us feel at home during our New Year's Eve stay in Sibiel. They shared stories about the area and sang traditional carols to welcome the new year. They also took us around the village to buy homemade products and showed us how people in the community can rely on one another and live sustainably. It was a wholesome experience and a lovely start to the year. We hope to return, enjoy Mrs Lenuta's cooking, and book all our meals with them. Thank you for such a lovely stay.
