It used to be a beautiful hotel, which makes it such a shame that it hasn’t been upgraded. The rooms smell bad, the carpet is filthy, and there was hair on the bed sheets. It seems like the place hasn’t been improved in decades. I don’t recommend it, it badly needs an update.

It was clean and I loved the charm of this hotel from another era. Still, it’s long overdue for renovations, and the dated interior might bother some people.

Service was moderate, and they speak good English. Motorcycles can park for free in the public parking beside the hotel, under camera surveillance. Breakfast was supposed to be ready at 7, but most of the food and drinks weren’t on the tables until around 8:30.

The friendly staff try to help with requests, though that can be hard when there are only a few hairdryers and no dryer in every room. Breakfast had a good selection, but the quality wasn’t the best. I liked the building’s history and the effort to preserve its style, though the rooms are a bit old. There’s no elevator, and the hotel could have been warmer. Wi-Fi is separate on each floor, so you need a new password when you move between floors, and hallway noise carries into the rooms. For the price, it’s a reasonable balance overall.

Our room was really big, with lots of space to put our clothes. For the price, I think the hotel is quite okay. Breakfast was alright too, though it could have had a little more variety.
