Hotel Sirena

The rooms were clean, though basic, and we really enjoyed our side view of the sea. The food was OK and the coffee was good. The place has an 80s vibe that brings back the nostalgia of that time, if that's your thing. I'd stay again.

On a budget, this is a good choice. The rooms are clean, it's quiet, and the view is amazing. I'll gladly come back. It's a shame the city has left the area around this otherwise nice place full of derelict buildings. That's down to the city administration, not the hotel.

The bed was comfortable, there was always hot water, and the rooms have a lovely view. It's also very close to the beach. Breakfast was a problem: the lines were really long, and better food placement could help. You can't run a single line for 500 people. When I suggested another arrangement, I was told upper management wasn't interested. Parking also costs 35 Ron per day.

Sirena is right by the beach, with only a sidewalk between the hotel and the shore. It's an old communist-era building that's been renovated, though the rooms haven't been enlarged. It's clean, and you can see the effort to improve the small bathrooms. The price seems fair for what you get. The restaurant serves good food, especially the Stroganoff. You can pay to park in front or nearby. The staff were nice and ready to help when asked. Reception is open 24 hours, though I found that team less pleasant than the restaurant and cleaning staff. All in all, a nice vacation.
