The bungalows were comfortable, set in a pleasant garden close to both the river and the center. Heating, hot water, and electricity all worked fine. The owner Dragos knows his area well and is an interesting, educated person who speaks perfect English. He also pointed us to a restaurant right next door. The Danube Delta fish was simple and traditional, served in a delicious sauce, and there were lots of fishermen having a party. It was truly excellent.
The bungalow was roomy and welcoming when I stayed at Dragos' place in October, since he had already turned on the heating. There's a refrigerator inside and a shared outdoor kitchen. The location is convenient on the way to the sea and Sf Gheorghe, and because it's a small place, everything else is close by too. I couldn't try the kayak because the weather wasn't good enough. The main drawback, if it matters to you, is that there's no Wi-Fi.
The outside lights didn't work, and there wasn't enough staff to do even basic cleaning or keep the garden maintained. The outdoor kitchen was dirty. There was no air conditioning, and the mosquito nets were weak, with none on the house door. Between the heat and mosquitoes, we had sleepless nights.
A peaceful place with a lovely yard and a good location. The host is friendly.
