The owners made my first stay in the delta easy, offering guidance and help whenever I needed it. I picked Valurile Dunării after looking at reviews and getting a good feeling from what I saw online, and it turned out to be just right. The place is clean and convenient, with a beautiful local charm that feels true to the region. I’m already looking forward to coming back.
The quality was the best.
The food was excellent.
We spent May 1-4, 2025 here and found the shared areas especially relaxing. We mostly sat in the gazebo and on the pontoon, and everything was peaceful and well arranged. The rooms were clean and looked after, everything worked, and hot water came right away at both the sink and shower. Even with nights around 9-10 degrees outside, my room stayed warm until morning after I ran the air conditioning on 2-3 before bed. It even got a little too warm :). Breakfast was included and generous, including for people who don't eat fish. The hosts were very kind, and booking directly was easy to arrange. I’d confidently recommend staying here. Next time, I hope to try lunch at Mrs. Liliana's, which I’ve heard good things about.
Behind the guesthouse, the flower-filled garden opens onto a canal edged with reeds, where birds and borăște make a free concert. It’s a wonderfully peaceful spot for anyone who enjoys nature. Inside, the rooms are charming, spotless, and decorated with taste, while the kitchen and shared living room feel roomy and welcoming. The food was delicious, prepared with care and experience in the area’s traditional cooking. Pensiunea Valurile Dunării really felt like a little corner of heaven. Thanks to the host, I’ll definitely return and highly recommend it.
