Please don't book this hotel. I believe the reviews are fake and this is a scam. Other people have been scammed too, and I lost $3000. Mihai helped them take my money through a fraudulent charge on my card.

Don't book here. Booking.com showed this hotel when we searched for Old Town Bucharest, apparently because of an error in its algorithm. I reserved two nights, and $490 was taken straight away. My husband noticed the location error two days later, and I asked the hotel for a refund more than 8 months before the trip. I told them my husband has cancer, I have two back fractures, and our 43 year old son had died of heart failure. They still refused. We couldn't afford to lose that money. They had 8 months to find another booking, but cancelled ours, kept the payment, and sold the room again. It felt cruel and heartless, like a money grab, and it hurt two sick elderly people. I hope karma catches up with them. This is an awful way to run a business.

The hotel got in touch to apologize and explain what had happened, and I appreciate that. I understand the context, though my review still describes how things felt at the time. I'm glad they chose to address the situation that way.

We had to look for another hotel at 23 in the evening with three sleepy kids. I can't say anything about the rooms since we never stayed, but the service was awful. They shouldn't be allowed on external booking platforms. They advertise rooms on sites like Booking.com, then expect you to call and book directly. Otherwise, they refuse your payment. Their Booking listing says they accept holiday cards, but they only told us they wouldn't accept our payment method after we'd made the reservation. They'd selected “Pay at property,” yet tried to charge our credit card three times after saying they wouldn't take our payment. They stopped only after we complained to Booking and Booking warned them. We blocked the card, which we'd used only to confirm the reservation, not as the payment method. In their response, they claimed they knew how many of us there were, though we never arrived. See the similar review here. The property itself may be fine, but I think the owners are scammers. Plenty of honest places in Sibiu deserve your business instead.
