Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Sibiu

I’ve stayed at several Golden Tulip branches, and this was the worst one for me. Service was poor, almost nonexistent, and I can’t see how it earned four stars. It feels like a three-star hotel at most. Reception was unreachable. I tried calling in every way I could for almost an hour, then went downstairs and found nobody there. I understand someone might step away to use the toilet, but leaving reception unattended for an hour shows no client orientation. Amateurs. By law, the hotel should have 32 parking spaces to keep its fourth star, based on 81 rooms and the 40% requirement. It only has 20, and employees take about half of them. The administration was totally rude and put pressure on guests instead of apologizing. My first and probably last stay here. If you're travelling by car, avoid this hotel.

The rooms felt a bit outdated, with old TVs and that sort of thing, though the food was good and breakfast was great. The hotel itself is nice, the location is excellent, and the staff were good. There’s a nice view from the top floor too.

The staff were kind and called after checkout when I’d left my phone in the room. Huge thanks for that. We had a comfortable, quiet, clean stay, and the room and bed were very good. The style was a little dated but everything was well kept, as we’d expected. It has more of a business hotel feel, but it worked perfectly for our stopover. Breakfast was the one part that could be better. There wasn’t much variety, the toast took ages and barely browned, and I couldn’t find any tea. Maybe that was just the timing, but it didn’t match the rest of the stay. The location is great for getting to the old town, and we enjoyed our time here. A solid choice for a night in Sibiu.

Hello. Like the review from five days ago, in short, breakfast seemed as if it had been made the day before. There was a nice clerk at reception, but another clerk wasn't nice and seemed not to understand his job, since he called someone else about every problem. A robot would do better. Romania is impressive, though.
