Mercure Sibiu Arsenal

We were there for two nights and had a really pleasant stay. The location is lovely, with a park right across from the hotel, and our room was clean and comfortable. Everyone on staff was friendly, especially Bogdan from the restaurant. We had a very early flight and couldn’t eat breakfast, so they kindly packed lunches for us. Thanks to all the staff for making the stay so nice.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, with good bedding, and the staff were friendly even when they weren’t at the front desk. We had a very good price for what we got, and I’d happily return. The location beside park Sub Irini worked well too, with the old town within walking distance or a short taxi ride away. Breakfast was a highlight for the team’s attitude. The options were quite specific, but the staff listened and found something more suitable for my vegetarian mom. As a Gold member, I also appreciated the room upgrade and the welcome gift of local wine. There was plenty of drinking water in the room, along with tea, coffee, and other amenities. A few things could be better. The bathroom off the living room had no exhaust fan or air vent, just wires hanging, though that seems easy to fix. Welcome drinks were juice, cola, beer, or wine, with no cocktails, which felt like IBIS. The shared entrance with Ibis also made the hotel feel a little mixed, including at breakfast. A wedding made things loud for a few hours one evening, and there was no official Accor link to review my stay. Still, it’s a comfortable hotel that lives up to the Mercure name.

Watching the sunrise over the park from the large balcony was lovely, and the room itself was spacious, well equipped, and had a comfortable bed. I chose the hotel largely because it has a pool, and being able to bring my pet mattered a lot to me. A small table and two chairs on the balcony would have made it even better.

The restaurant was really good, and everyone on staff treated us well throughout the stay. Our modern room was clean, and the hotel has a bright, airy feel with a nice atmosphere. We’d definitely come back.
