We were four people staying at Villa Umberti for five nights over NYE, and it was one of the best places I’ve stayed in Romania. The location is in a quiet Sibiu suburb with houses and tourist villas around. Supermarkets, gas stations and a mall are close by, and it’s about a 10-minute drive straight to the city center. The owners were warm and welcoming, shared lots of suggestions about places to visit around Sibiu, and replied quickly whenever we needed something. The price for the quality may be among the best in Romania, without exaggeration. Everything felt high quality and very clean, from the sheets and kitchen appliances to the heated gazebo in the garden. There was also a traditional outdoor fire-heated "jacuzzi," though we didn’t use it. We appreciated the shutters too. The attention to detail was exquisite. We loved our stay and would like to return. Thanks again, Liviu, and good luck with everything!

The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to help and offer useful recommendations. Everything was organized well, with care put into the details. Our rooms were clean and disinfected, and the neighborhood was quiet. The location is excellent, easy to reach and close to the center, restaurants and mall. I highly recommend it.

The garden was beautifully decorated and lit up at night, and the neighborhood was very quiet. Liviu was a lovely, helpful host. The accommodation is very close to the center of Sibiu, and an Uber ride there is very cheap.

A few days ago I was back at UMBERTI, and it was beautiful, peaceful and dreamy again. Reception: 10. Room: 10. Garden, greenery and gazebo: 10. Tsiubar: 10. Tourist concept: 10. Thank you to the hosts! I can’t remember if I ended my first review a few months ago with the rhetorical question, “Will we be back?”
