I’d avoid staying here. The rooms themselves are the only normal part of this sketchy place. The facility looks abandoned, there’s no desk, and it’s in the middle of a slum, like a set from a bad horror movie. They charge as much as a room in the city centre, which is incredible. Hilton group being involved with them is appalling, and the service was awful.
There was no refrigerator in the room, but that was fine since we drank the beer before it had time to get warm. We were the only guests there, tucked away up the hill, with lovely fresh air and a great view.
Would be great if they didn’t allow pets...
The pool shown in the photos is at the affiliated hotel, not the guesthouse, and access is strictly by reservation, for two hours per hour. We also heard terrible noise from the resort next door at night. The bed was bad, and there’s only one small fridge per floor. We arrived in the evening, and the road is in very bad shape, so be careful driving. Our room hadn’t been cleaned: the towels and sheets were dirty, the bin was full, and so on. That was unacceptable, especially during the pandemic. There’s no reception or caretaker at the guesthouse, so we had to go back into town to get a key for another room... :)
The view is beautiful, and it’s a good choice if you want somewhere more secluded. The road is still rough, but that wasn’t a big issue for us. The room felt intimate, the furniture and doors had been changed since the earlier reviews, and cleanliness was 8/10. Inside, it smelled of wood and felt almost like a sauna because it was so warm. Heating gets 10/10, and there was an extra electric radiator for anyone who wasn’t happy with the central heating. We didn’t need it and even slept with the window open. The stay included sauna and spa access at the well-known local hotel DoubleTree by Hilton, plus a breakfast discount there. With all that, ✅
