The rooms themselves were good and clean, but poor communication and support spoiled the service. This is an unstaffed property, and the door lock setup is confusing. You have to enter a code to get into your room and then press the dash button. Nobody told us this beforehand, and the codes they sent were wrong, so we had to keep messaging back and forth just to get in. They ended up resetting the codes for us. Calling the number connects you to a virtual phone attendant that only lets you choose properties in Spain, with no option for Romania. We also had to ask for the Wi-Fi password instead of finding it inside. They should improve the communication and support as soon as possible.

Getting to Peleș Castle was easy, and the room and location were really nice. The price was perfect too. Just be careful with the door lock: they gave me the wrong password for the building. The correct one was written below it, but entering a wrong code in the key box locks the door right away, and you might not be able to get to your room.

On Friday, October 3, I was thinking of booking a room through booking.com, but called the property first to ask a few questions. The contact number had a Spanish prefix, which seemed suspicious. Since I was nearby, I went to the "castle". There was no handle on the main door and nobody to speak to. Looking through the entrance window, the place seemed either under renovation or abandoned. A parking lot employee at the property said renovation work had been going on for more than 4-5 months. While we were talking, a car pulled up and workers unloaded equipment and materials. It was a mess, and I was glad I hadn't booked, even though it appears on several platforms with 5-star reviews. The same on all platforms. Avoid it.
