La Cristina

For what it costs, the accommodation is top level.

The price was more than fair, and the management were friendly and helpful. We had a great room for three adults, two bathrooms, and a huge terrace. The kitchen had everything we needed, including utensils, coffee, and sugar in the cupboard. This beat my expectations. I’ve made up my mind not to look for a better place in the area again. Highly recommend it.

I’ve been to Villa La Cristina at least once a year and have seen the service improve. The room is clean, and the linen is very nice. I’d read the earlier reviews, and it’s true there isn’t a reception desk in the villa, but you can get information over the phone or at the hotel reception. On a first visit, reception staff will show you to your room and explain what you need to know. The maids are lovely and help if you ask, and the other employees I met were just as nice. Many thanks.

The food was poorly cooked and served without care. My soup was cold, and the steak was so salty it seemed meant to cover up that it was a bit old. Prices felt high for such a modest menu. The rooms were cold and dark, in a different location from the main building, and the accommodation didn’t match what was offered on the website.
