Bradet Ensana Health Spa Hotel(Empty)

The apartments were spacious, breakfast was okay, and I loved the spa. The hotel itself is good. A few things let it down: the hair dryer felt like a two-star one in a four-star hotel, room temperature couldn't be adjusted, and some consumables weren't replenished. I also didn't like that rooms were sold through a travel agency at a higher price than booking directly with the hotel.

Otherwise, everything was fine, thank you. At the spa there weren't enough towels, drinking water ran out and the empty container wasn't replaced, and the sauna wasn't hot at first. There was too little space for bathrobes. The oil in the salad bottles was rancid, and balsamic vinegar was missing.

The breakfast was excellent, much better than what I've had at North American hotels charging double or triple the price. The place also has an expansive spa and treatment center, plus two free daily visits to Bear lake. It's in a lovely spot and has its own parking, which matters in Romania, where parking can be hard to find. Take the hotel across the street from Bradet. It's very nice and part of the same company, but has no parking of its own, so you have to hunt for a spot in Sovata. Parking is a sore point at many high-end Romanian hotels. It's frankly perplexing to see them spend good money on fancy architecture and decorations but not make parking easy for guests.
