The staff’s dismissive replies to our questions really added to the disappointment. The view was worse this time too, since the windows were dirty. We left our belongings unattended because none of the locker locks worked, and the toilets smelled. Only one of the three saunas was on, and even that one wasn’t properly heated. The salty water wasn’t very warm, and the spa area wasn’t clean. The jacuzzi was broken, with no notice posted. Had we known, we would have picked another spa, since Sovata has plenty. We came as a family for the second time today. On our visit last year, we were impressed by the view, pool, sauna, jacuzzi, and salty water. It’s a shame a place with so much potential isn’t being looked after by the owner and staff. I hope they make improvements for the future.

The Bear Lake is very close, and the hotel is up in the forest. Our room was comfortable and very clean, and breakfast was generous. Big thanks to the owner for building and decorating the place. I’d recommend it to travelers visiting this town.

The mattresses are new, and the breakfast, though simple, was satisfying. It’s a quiet hotel with nice people. Renovation work was happening in 2018-2019, but it wasn’t finished yet. There weren’t any chairs on the balcony.

The rooms are clean and quiet, with lots of trees around the building, and the hotel has the feel of a mountain chalet. The furniture and TV are old, though, and breakfast is limited and cheap. For what they offer, it’s expensive.

The price is very good, and there’s a 20 m swimming pool with a spa. I’d recommend this place for conferences or other youth programs.
