Hotel Muresul Health Spa

The spa is a real highlight, with treatments, massages, a sauna, steam room, and indoor pools for both salt and fresh water. The staff there are friendly and professional. We also found the hotel staff courteous and attentive, with helpful tips about local activities and places to eat. The hotel sits in a peaceful area, away from the city's bustle, while still being well connected to attractions and transport. Rooms come in different types and have comfortable furnishings and modern amenities. Cleanliness and care for detail are clear throughout. The restaurant serves local and international dishes made with fresh ingredients, and the breakfast buffet stood out for its range and quality. The calm atmosphere, helpful service, and wellness facilities make it a comfortable place to unwind, whether for a weekend or a longer visit.

The hotel is very central in Sovata, and we liked how clean it was. There's a big parking area behind the building. We enjoyed the small spa: two saunas, one dry and one steam, a small saltwater pool, a medium-sized swimming pool, a jacuzzi, and an outdoor seating area. Breakfast was included and served as an international buffet. It was fresh and decent overall, though the food was average. The building feels old. The bathroom had been renovated, but still smelled like a sewer, and the balcony furniture looked very dated. There’s no air conditioning, though we didn't really need it since the room gets chilly at night. For what was provided, it seemed rather expensive.

The place is nice and clean, and everything looks new or recently redone. The pools are small, but they were plenty for what we needed. It was a good stay. It'll be even better once both saunas and the massage room are available.

The food wasn't the best I've had, but our waiter Simon was a superstar. He was quick and made sure we were comfortable. The service was the best I've had outside Bucharest. Thanks to the staff for making our evening so nice. A hidden gem among the dung heaps.
