Hotel Bucovina

The rooms are good, the location is excellent, and the price is fairly reasonable. There’s private parking, but space is limited. You can’t make a booking online, and despite what the website says, they don’t actually offer a free wake-up call.

The staff were friendly, but the rooms looked awful. The lobby has been renovated, at least. Our first room hadn’t even been cleaned after the previous visitors. The rooms were dirty, the walls were in poor shape, the window barely opened, and they didn’t change the sheets. The bathroom was so far from clean that I’d rather not get into it. 👎

The lobby looked decent, but that was about the only good thing I can say. I spent three weeks traveling around Romania and this was easily the worst hotel of the trip. The room was extremely dirty, with a filthy carpet that had huge bumps underneath. The bed covers looked many years old and were completely worn out, as were the two little bathroom towels. The elevators were tiny, barely fitting three people, and didn’t feel trustworthy. An unforgettable stay for all the wrong reasons. Those five-star reviews must be for somewhere else, or from people who’ve never stayed in a normal hotel.

Saturday, April 13, 2024, 3 pm. The restaurant was completely empty, yet we waited an hour and a half for three identical, simple meals. We asked twice, first after an hour and again at 1 hour 20 minutes, then finally just left. The waiters didn’t seem to care and didn’t even apologize. 😮😡😠😡😠
