The location was a real plus: close to the excursion boats and ferry, with shops, restaurants, and the main street nearby. The cook was lovely, but the guesthouse owner was the opposite. When we asked him for something at lunchtime, he yelled that we were bothering him from the first hour. He made us feel like unwanted guests he wanted to get rid of quickly. I don't think a visit to other hotels would fix that; he should find a different job. The room was stuffy and smelled bad, and the curtain was torn and hanging down. They said they'd set up a third bed with proper linen while we were out on our trip, but it wasn't ready until the next day, after I reminded them. On the first night, one person had to wrap up in a sheet while the other two were cold. The food was ordinary, nothing special, and there wasn't enough to make you want a second serving. We stayed there as part of an organized trip, and the organizers had booked it. We'd asked where we would sleep, but somehow they avoided giving us the guesthouse's name. I understood why once we arrived and read what previous guests had written.
