Those potato pancakes are still on my mind, crispy outside, soft inside, and seasoned just right. The food has proper homemade flavor, and that simple dish felt like a masterpiece. Hanul Teilor has a peaceful, authentic atmosphere amid wooden architecture and lovely scenery, with warm hospitality from the moment you arrive. A great spot for Maramureș food and a relaxing, authentic experience.

The portions were generous, and the flavors brought traditional Romanian cooking to mind. At Hanul Teilor, I tried “Aripioară Domnească” and “Rânduiala Porcului”; both were tasty, well cooked, and nicely presented. The setting has an appealing Romanian traditional design, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Staff were friendly, everything was clean, and I’d happily recommend it.

The vegan platter was the standout, with flavorful, creative mushroom balls, tofu cheese balls, and potato croquettes. It’s unusual to find vegan food this well done. We ordered Christmas platters from Hanul Teilor, and everything was delicious. Their food quality is always noticeable, and these platters were especially good. The classic platter was tasty too, and the homemade desserts were delicious and high quality. Inside, the warm, traditional atmosphere feels like a preserved piece of history, and the staff are kind and helpful. We’ll be back, and Hanul Teilor has become our go-to for Christmas platters. Thanks to the team for a lovely experience! ❤️

We really enjoyed the local food. The restaurant is spacious and serves both local dishes and pizza, and the service was great. The courtyard has some nicely restored buildings and a very traditional look.
