Hotel Exclusiv

The bed and room were great, and the staff were absolutely lovely. The restaurant was closed for the summer, though they still offered takeout, which was okay. The room temperature was a real problem: I woke at 4am and it was 28.5 degrees inside despite it being 15 degrees outdoors. I had to open the window, and when I woke again I was covered in mosquito bites. Judging by all the dead mosquitoes on the wall, this may have happened before.

It’s a medium-sized, 3-star hotel in southern Timisoara, and the room price is very reasonable for what they offer. The hotel is often busy, but comfortable and very clean, with helpful staff. There’s a great restaurant on the main floor serving all kinds of dishes, including some of the best pizza and pasta in town. A supermarket next door has all sorts of things you might need during your stay.

The family room is spacious and has a small fridge. You can also use the fridge on the fourth floor if you ask the staff. Rooms are clean. There’s a small parking lot behind the hotel, but check with reception before leaving your car there. If it’s full, there’s plenty of room to park on the street in front.

We stayed one night with the family and were very happy with the service. The hotel and rooms were clean, and it was what we paid for: a proper 3-star hotel, rather than a 2-star place with a 3-star rating. The rooms aren’t especially large, but the furniture and bathroom were fine. Parking is available out front and in the backyard, though there are only about 6-7 spaces altogether.
