Hotel Novera

The advertised gym and spa were no longer available when we arrived, which we only found out at the hotel. Breakfast was okay, but the selection was limited, mostly savory, and didn't really suit lactose-free or vegan diets. My colleagues and I had a very unpleasant stay. This isn't a four-star hotel in my view: the rooms are tiny, dated, dim, and not functional. It was very hot during our stay, but there was no air conditioning, and opening the small window wasn't really an option because of the street noise. The Wi-Fi was constantly down throughout our three days there.

The rooms were amazing and the staff really friendly. I didn't get a chance to try breakfast, but there is free parking too. I'd happily recommend staying here.

It's an okay hotel, though I'm not convinced it deserves four stars.

The reception staff were helpful when I arrived, and breakfast was very good apart from the coffee. I also enjoyed the food and friendly service in the restaurant. There's a large supermarket next door and a great seafood place about a 10-minute walk away. The room looked chic but was awkward to use. There was no desk or chair, and the only place with enough light to read was the bathroom unless you brought your own lamp. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow. They provided an electric kettle but no cups, just two glasses, one of them dirty despite being wrapped. There was no coffee apart from a 3-in-1 mix, and the tea was chamomile. There was no do-not-disturb sign either. Other problems: an unpleasant smell in the room, a small parking area, and staff whose professionalism varied a lot. I left shortly after 11, and the room hadn't been cleaned. Breakfast had no espresso. The restaurant and minibar didn't have Cola Zero or Pepsi Light, and the street was noisy.
