Pensiunea Vladut Timisoara

We were very happy with our stay. The owners even offered us a lift to the local train station. It’s a peaceful residential neighborhood, about 15 minutes from the airport, with a lovely, well-kept back garden, BBQ, and outdoor chairs and tables. We stayed in a spacious private room, though there are dorm-style rooms for larger groups or families too. The room was clean and tidy, with towels, a hairdryer, and hand soap. There was an ironing board in the hallway, so I assume you can ask for an iron, though we didn’t. The owners’ young son Vlad (think that's the right spelling? May be Vled???) speaks English and was a huge help, translating between us and the owners. Breakfast isn’t included in the price, despite what another reviewer suggested. It was a good, filling meal of meat, egg, tomato, and bread with coffee or tea. There may be other options, but we didn’t ask; we just said yes when offered breakfast and that’s what we got. One thing about getting there: when we arrived at the airport at 11pm, the taxis out front asked where we were going and quoted 40leu. That might be expensive by local standards, I don’t know, but it seemed fine compared with London taxi prices, and the driver was really nice.

We needed a bit of rest early in the morning after a long journey, and this place was a great choice. The room was clean and comfortable, the hosts were friendly, and the coffee was good. Highly recommend.

The owner was very friendly and helpful, and the backyard is peaceful. By taxi, the location is convenient for getting to the city center. The room and shower could do with an upgrade though ;-)

The people were kind, and my room was clean. Near pensiunea Vladut there’s a really beautiful green area and a river. You can also take a boat and go on a river cruise.
