The location is excellent: right next to the railway station, about 300 m from the bus station, and 300 m from the waterfront promenade. The room was clean, well equipped, and a reasonable size. If you get a balcony room facing the lake, there's a nice sunset view.

The lakefront location is nice, but the rest was a bad experience. The soundproofing is nonexistent. In a downstairs room, you hear every step from above, every toilet flush, and water moving through the pipes. It sounded like the person upstairs was step dancing. The beds are tiny and hard, and I would've been better off sleeping on the floor. It's pricey for a three-star hotel. Noise started around 6:30 in the morning.

I can't comment on the rooms, but the restaurant was a pleasant surprise. We were there on December 1, Romanian National Day, and the glasses had napkins in the national flag colors tucked inside. Service was lovely and quick, with kind staff. The food was tasty, especially the fish dishes, though the portions could be a little larger.

Our room was spotless when we checked in, and the bed was comfortable. We had a nice room for two with a small balcony, and if you book the right one, you get a lake view. We arrived on a rainy day and the room immediately made things better. The service was good and the prices affordable.

The room was extremely damp. There was black mold in the bathroom, which smelled awful, and the odor from the A/C was very strong. On the positive side, it's very close to both the train station and the promenade, and you can check in at any time. Some of the staff didn't speak English.
