Luxury Lake House & Glamping

There’s a private way out to the lake for kayaking and swimming, and the food was delicious. Parking is available, with a lovely path leading to the pool complex and tent. The owners welcomed us kindly and gave us the information and help we needed. The staff were professional and took care of everything we needed. Simply great.

We stayed in one of the tents and had a peaceful, relaxing time. Just keep in mind it can get a bit cold at night, and you hear the forest sounds, from night birds and insects to wild animals. There’s only a tarp sheet between you and the forest, so don’t expect the comfort of a hotel room. That didn’t bother us. The tent is in a small forest right by the lake, with a breathtaking view of the water and the dam in the distance. The air is crisp and clean, and the trees block noise from the nearby access road. The owners are lovely and attentive, and breakfast is generous and delicious.

It isn’t cheap, but the experience is great. The property is huge, with plenty to do. We enjoyed relaxing by the fire in the evening, and the jacuzzi was amazing in the cold weather. There’s another terrace out front, and breakfast is delivered in the morning. We had a great night. The only downside was the ticking sound from the electricity in the living room.

This is an isolated little holiday house in the forest, well suited to two people. The interior felt close to overcrowded, with too much furniture, used candles and decorations. Around 12 dogs were in a fenced pen right behind the house. One sometimes wanders freely around the property and stayed with us for a while. He’s very kind, but guests should know about this before booking. We also saw a few foxes near the house and small brown mice around the house and trees. The price seemed far too high compared with other places, probably because the property is completely on its own. The owners can provide breakfast or order from the local restaurant in the village, which serves classic Romanian cuisine.
