London Apartments Vaslui

The room was comfortable enough for an office trip, but the owner’s attitude put me off. He was so sure his place was perfect that he was blunt about it, and tried to have me leave at 10:45 even though checkout was 11:00. It was 12/30, so he could have waited 15 minutes 😅 I won’t choose a place with such arrogant hospitality again. For the overall quality, 500lei for 2 days wasn’t worth it ☹️

The downstairs restaurant is cozy and serves good food. They don’t sell cigarettes, but the friendly staff will go to the shop and pick some up for you. In summer, the accommodation is perfect because it has AC. The rooms are actual one bedroom apartments, sold at a nightly price below the market average. A downside is that some rooms have rather small showers.

The cleaning lady helped get some stains out of my coat and wouldn’t accept a tip. The staff in general are friendly and polite, and the owners keep a close eye on the business and are willing to sort out any issues quickly. This is a new, spacious, tidy and well organized place to stay when visiting Vaslui. It’s within walking distance of mostly everything, since Vaslui is a small, compact town, and the area feels pretty safe. I accidentally left my car unlocked, with cash and other valuables in sight, for about an hour. Nothing was touched. I was amazed when I noticed, ran back, and found everything as I’d left it. Still, don’t tempt the devil by doing the same. This isn’t downtown Geneva or Washington DC, but for Vaslui, I think it’s a real step forward. Good luck to the owners. I’ll stop by again when I’m back in my native hometown.
