Hotel Montana

At 3 AM, I woke to a room that felt as cold as outside, around 5 degrees Celsius. With a small child there, none of us got any more sleep. For the relatively high room price, I expected better service and quality. Rooms: 2/5 Bathroom: 1/5 Breakfast: 2/5

We only stayed one night so we could catch the Mocăniță train in the morning. At 3 am we woke up freezing. My 9-month-old baby’s nose and ears were cold, and he started coughing and sneezing. The baby monitor showed 17*C. I called reception, and was simply told to turn on the AC machine for heat. The buffet breakfast was poor and low quality: eggs and meat for protein, but no cereal, yogurt, cookies, or jam. They had margarine instead of butter and only an awful plum marmelade. The breakfast room was unpleasant too, three tables in a basement that looked like storage, without natural light. At 56 E, it cost far too much for what was provided.

The bathroom pipes and sewage gave off a horrible smell. I slept with every window open and still couldn’t get rid of it. I’ll never forget that awful experience. If I could, I’d give this review zero stars.

The lemonade and food were tasty, and it was a good experience overall. The pizza could use more toppings, though. I could barely find the chicken or tomatoes.
