Vila FAN Confort

A handy base for exploring the Maramures or taking a ride on the Mocanita. There’s plenty of parking, the rooms are clean, breakfast is good, and the hosts are friendly. Recommended!

The historical train station is just around one corner, a very short walk away. There’s free parking and WiFi, and guests can use the kitchen. Our room was big, as was the toilet, and the double beds were superhuge xxl! The house was very nice, though they were renovating it at the time, and there’s a garden too. The lovely "san bernardo" dog was friendly, and the staff were very kind with children. Everything was very clean.

They waited up for us until we got there at midnight, which was lovely. The pension was clean and pleasant, and the owner was very nice. Wi-Fi is available, as is breakfast if you ask, and there’s a large parking area. The price was reasonable, about the same as elsewhere in the region.

The location is a three-minute walk from the Mocanita Maramures station and Elefant, a caffe with a small museum about the Jewish community. The room was lovely, cozy, warm, and perfectly clean, and guests can cook breakfast, lunch, or dinner in the beautiful dining room with its small kitchen. The lady of the house was a perfect host. And the two lovely dogs were a bonus, Gruia, a Saint Bernard puppy, and his grumpy curly friend :)
