Hotel La Dolce Vita

The restaurant food and breakfast were good quality. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, with large rooms and nice views. It also has an indoor playground for all ages and an outdoor one for smaller children. A comfortable, welcoming place.

We asked for a room away from the highway and it was quiet, including at night. The room was clean, with a great view of the Piatra Craiului mountains, and we slept very well in the cool, fresh mountain air. We came for a couple of nights to get away from Bucharest’s hot air. The place is nice and peaceful, and the staff, especially at reception and in the restaurant, were friendly and available to help with questions or room issues. Breakfast was high quality and very good. There’s also a large kids’ playground, plus a patio and garden for spending time outside.

The nearby road to Bran gets a lot of traffic, and lunch has limited choices with some expensive dishes. Still, it’s a good option overall. The rooms are large, with plenty of space, great views, and big balconies. Ours had a good queen-size bed, a small fridge with a minibar, and complimentary coffee. There’s a nice outdoor playground for kids as well as an indoor games room. Breakfast has a wide, very good selection, and there’s a large parking area.

The staff went beyond my expectations, and the meals, which you can have in your room, were delicious. We visited during the COVID-19 period, and free masks were available at the entrance along with lots of high-grade disinfectant. The recently refurbished hotel felt new, extremely clean, and welcoming, with spacious rooms equipped with everything needed. There’s a huge parking lot, a ramp for disabled guests, and a large backyard with mountain views. The playground is one of the biggest I’ve seen at a hotel, with even a zip line, so it’s a great choice for families with kids. It also has a sauna, and a huge restaurant with a terrace. Highly recommend it. Other big-name hotels should take notes!
