ArkaBarka Floating Hostel Belgrade

The riverside atmosphere was great for meeting people and having a few beers, and the hostel itself is beautiful. Everyone from reception to housekeeping was friendly and helpful. Lidia is a gem. If you’re coming to Belgrade, this is the best place :)

For a hostel, it was a decent stay. The room and bed were clean, and the staff member was helpful and gave us useful information. I really liked the setting above the Danube River. You go through a big park to reach the hotel, and the morning air, trees, river, and nature were beautiful. Breakfast was okay, and the owner was attentive when we met him. One thing to watch is the charge: they billed the regular nightly rate instead of the price I’d confirmed on Booking. I noticed in the morning. They said they didn't know why and couldn't sort it out then, so I’d have to take it up with Booking. It wasn't a big deal to me, so I didn't follow up, but check the price at check-in so you catch it. Ask for the parking location before you arrive. I guessed where to park, had to move the car later, and ended up with a bit of a walk. The bathroom was small, there wasn't much room to hang things, and the drain was a little problematic.

I’m spending a lovely winter evening by the fireplace here, and it feels so cozy. Such a sweet place in Belgrade, I’d happily recommend it.
