The service was good, and we liked the colorful night view of the bridge. Still, I wouldn't recommend the place at the price I paid, almost 100€ for a room with a pretty lousy breakfast. For that amount, I expected a bigger room and a better breakfast. At night, a pergola on the terrace kept banging against the wall in the wind and woke us. We opened it to stop the noise, but it automatically shifted back to the closed position. The stair railings were unstable and dangerous to use, and the road to the place was full of bumps and pits. They should invest some money in fixing that. The bathroom drying radiator didn't work, and the jacuzzi didn't bubble after we filled it with water.

The staff were nice and helpful, and a waitress kindly translated for us. But I really don't recommend this place if you don't want arguments to spoil your trip. We booked because of the jacuzzi, and Booking didn't say it was out of order. The location is quite far away, about a 25 minute walk to the nearest bus stop. There was almost nothing open on the island at that time, and the area felt very dirty and run down. Before we went to the room, staff asked whether we wanted to see it or pay. We chose to pay since Booking already required it. Then we found no jacuzzi on the terrace. A man told me there wasn't one because the water would freeze, which made no sense to me at around 15 Celsius. I asked for compensation because we'd booked for the jacuzzi, but he said we'd paid already and they were fully booked, so he couldn't refund us. After speaking with the manager, he offered a bottle of wine. The prices are high, so that didn't seem like fair compensation, but we didn't want to ruin the trip. My mood was already low after the strange interaction. We returned around 8 and could hear the hot tub running on the neighboring terrace. We'd also seen a couple at the bar dealing with something similar and being offered a bottle of wine. By then we were angry, and the room smelled very unpleasant, especially the bathroom, where the ventilation seemed badly wrong. My boyfriend spoke to staff, pointed out that the next room's tub was working and said this was unacceptable. Only then did they take it seriously and call the manager. We waited half an hour, and she had no explanation. We again asked for our money back and said we wanted to leave. For half the price, we could get a decent hotel in the center instead of an overpriced room without the promised facilities in a run down area. After some discussion, we got half our money back in cash, but they asked us to cancel the booking and not leave a review. It seemed that some "more important clients" could get things done that were impossible for us.

The strongest sewage smell I've ever encountered. It was unbelievably bad, and there was no way to sleep or even stay in the room. The bathroom was the worst of it, making a shower impossible too. We didn't even order a gas mask. If you can smell, do not go here.

Lovely place to visit, with great food, a great view, and great service. They said the Peninsula entry fee was for one use only, even with a 24-hour stay paid for. That made no sense to me.
