Hotel Hollywoodland Wellness & Aquapark

The water park is the main reason families with kids or teenagers might choose this place. The rooms in the Garden City section are new, modern, and very nice, but at this price I expected basics like a small fridge, kettle, and bedside lamps. The entrance is tiny and doesn’t look like a proper hotel entrance from outside. The receptionist was friendly and spoke good English. Plane noise is an issue because the hotel is very close to the airport flight path. Loud music from the pool starts at 1030 and carries on all day. Breakfast was a big letdown: two uninterested women without uniforms refilled the food, cups, and glasses reluctantly and not very often. With better management and some money spent on the facilities and breakfast, this could be a decent place. As it is, only go for the water park.

The website and Booking.com pictures have little to do with the actual place. The rooms and restaurant were dirty, and one of the pools wasn’t working. It’s a joke. I’d never sleep here again.

The staff were super friendly, and breakfast was good. The rooms were clean and comfortable, too. Still, I wouldn’t return. We chose the hotel partly because booking sites advertised a spa, but they didn’t mention it only opens in summer. We stayed in October, when the outdoor pool was empty and the sauna was closed. One morning there was a problem with the cold water, so we couldn’t use the toilets or shower. That was really unpleasant. I also found it weird to walk into my room and see a picture of four guys above the bed. The location is closer to the airport than the city center, and walking into town is complicated, with some areas having no sidewalks.

Really wonderful people, service, and facilities. I appreciated it a lot 🙏❤️🍀🤝
