Hotel M

The one good point was free parking. The staff, though, seemed disorganized and unprofessional, and there was constant noise and arguing. I saw staff members having a loud argument, which left me feeling uncomfortable and unsafe, and the tension among employees seemed to affect guests too. When I asked a cleaning lady where the restroom was, she rudely asked what I was doing in the hallway and told me to leave. Housekeeping also made a lot of noise. For a hotel near the forest that should offer peace and quiet, that atmosphere was completely inappropriate.

Hotel M has a lovely setting, with beautiful views and a peaceful feel, and the food was delicious, with lots of tasty choices. The dining area was pleasant and well kept. The rooms were comfortable enough, clean to a satisfactory standard, and the beds were cozy, though I noticed some maintenance issues such as worn furniture and outdated amenities. Room service was disappointing, with delays and staff who seemed short on attention to detail. Communication was sometimes difficult because staff weren’t proficient in English. I also found it unusual that water bottles cost extra. The hotel has a lot going for it, but those issues affected the stay.

My privacy and safety didn’t feel protected here. A housekeeper came into my room without knocking while I was naked, and wouldn’t leave when I asked several times. Housekeeping also entered with the do-not-disturb sign on the door and took items without my consent. There was no inside lock on the door. I raised this with the front desk, but nothing changed. Don’t stay here if you value your privacy and safety.

Hotel M was very clean, and the people were extremely polite. It’s in a peaceful part of Belgrade, yet only 5 kilometres from the city centre. The rooms are spacious and modern, and I especially liked the huge glass shower. Breakfast had lots of different things to choose from and was great. I’d happily come back.
